Orrbizz ("we", "us", "our") operates the Orrbizz mobile application and website available at orrbizz.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Orrbizz.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in via Google, we receive your Google account name, email address, and Google ID. We use this solely to create and authenticate your Orrbizz account.

Profile Information

You provide your display name, date of birth, gender, a selfie photo, an optional casual photo, and an optional bio. This information is visible to other attendees at events you join.

Location Data

We collect your GPS coordinates when you use the app. Location is used to:

• Show events happening near you
• Verify you are physically present at an event during check-in
• Monitor your proximity to an event's venue while you are active in the app

We do not store precise GPS logs beyond the active session. Your last known approximate coordinates may be cached locally on your device only.

Photos

Your selfie and casual photo are uploaded to our secure cloud storage (Cloudinary) and served to other users at the same event. Profile photos persist until you delete your account. Casual photos can be replaced at any time.

In-App Activity

• Swipes: We record which profiles you have liked or passed to avoid showing them again.
• Matches: When two users mutually like each other, a match record is created linking both user IDs.
• Chat messages: Messages sent in a matched chat expire after 7 minutes and are permanently deleted from our servers.
• Notes: Short notes sent to other attendees are stored temporarily and deleted once the event ends.
• Event check-ins: We record that you attended a specific event.

Reports

If you report another user, we collect the report category, an optional reason, an optional photo, and the event context. This data is reviewed by our moderation team and retained until the report is resolved.

Device & Technical Data

We collect standard technical data including your device type, browser/app version, and push notification token (if you grant permission) to deliver notifications and maintain app functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To show your profile to other attendees at events you join
• To facilitate matches, chats, and notes between users
• To verify event attendance and enforce venue proximity rules
• To send push notifications about matches, notes, and event updates
• To review user reports and enforce our community guidelines
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
• To improve the app and fix technical issues

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Other users: Your name, age, gender, photos, and bio are visible to other attendees at events you join. Your email address is never shared.
• Service providers: We use Cloudinary for photo storage and Google for authentication. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Retention

• Chat messages: Auto-deleted 7 minutes after sending
• Notes: Deleted when an event ends
• Event check-in records: Retained for 30 days then deleted
• Swipe history (liked/passed): Retained while your account is active to prevent repeat cards
• Profile & photos: Retained until you delete your account
• Reports: Retained until reviewed and resolved by our moderation team

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information directly in the app
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data from your profile settings, or by contacting us
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, JWT-based authentication, and access controls on our servers. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Orrbizz is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account immediately. If you believe a minor is using the app, please contact us.

8. Third-Party Links

The app may contain links to third-party services (e.g. Google Maps for directions). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Please review their policies separately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
